Flag Up Scotland Jamaica was successfully launched at the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce on Friday August 1st, Jamaica’s Emancipation Day. A packed chamber which included the Jamaican Minister of Tourism, the High Commissioner and Jamaican athletes, heard from project director David Pott about the historic links between the nations and John McGhie, son of William McGhie who put the Scottish saltire in the Jamaican flag spoke about his father.
